Superstition
2024

Role: Old Man

Role: My self

Role: Stevie Wonder

This was a devised contemporary theatre piece that was a group effort between me and some friends. It was performed in the John Thaw theatre in Manchester. It discusses aspects of time and how quickly one can go from a child to old. The goal was to use contemporary theatre as a mechanism to bring attention to ageism.

This was a contemporary theatre piece revolving around the topics of racism and culture. It was made from the perspective of my experience as a black caribbean man in white spaces and my friend Oljas's experience as an Asian of Kazakhstan heritage in white spaces. We subliminally expressed experiences of racism without actually saying what was said or what happened to us. This allowed the audience to get to the conclusion on their own.

This was a contemporary theatre piece that used Stevie Wonder's song "Superstition" as the foundation. It was a collaborative piece made with others and was performed in the Grovesnor East Building in Manchester. All aspects of Stevie Wonder's song was used to create movement, the stage, pace and dialogue. The piece didn't really have a distinct meaning but was created to allow audiences to create unique meanings.

Julius Caesar
2022

Roles: Prince Charming, Ronald the Raving & The Intense Inspector

Role: Modern Romeo

Role: Sooth Sayer & Octavius Caesar

This was a devised piece that used Cinderella as inspiration. It was intended to be silly and not really make sense since it was a pantomime.  It was a Frenzy Theatre production held in the Uppermill Civic Hall; Manchester U.K.

This was a semi-devised piece produced by the St. Anslem Hall Drama Society based in Manchester. There was a modern and old version of Romeo & Juliet. Both couples were in different dimensions. Old used old text and modern devised. They eventually end up in the same dimension and swap partners.

This was a traditional theatre piece. It was a St.Anslem Hall Drama Society production based in Manchester. This is another performance that was more acting focused than creative/devised.

The Good and Bad Party 2025

Role: Rave Guy

Role: Un-named

Role: Dancer/ Nameless solo performer

This was contemporary solo performance piece create by me and performed in the basement of the Grovesnor East Building in Manchester. It simulated a rave experience with layers of themes of loss and how a human can experience great loss or growth through a calender year.

This was a collaborative contemporary  theatre piece directed by Sam Ward of the Yes Yes No No Theatre company. It was performed in the Grovesnor East Building in Manchester. This piece explored themes of media manipulation, the rise of Donald Trump and breakdown of societal hierarchy.

This was a contemporary theatre/ performance art piece that used a literal short set rave as a catalyst to explore topics of race, identity, hierarchy, culture and gender. The piece while seemingly presented as a sort of tribute to civil rights activists like Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Fred Hampton: is revealed at the end to be actually be about the widows they left behind after their assassinations.
